Query400 Lower to Upper Case Translate table -- MIDRANGE-L

Query400 Lower to Upper Case Translate table.
I am trying to use the QSYSTRNTBL  *TBL in a query.  I have added it to the 
'Select Collating Sequence' with option #4. I have made sure the table was in 
QSYS.  This looks like it would not require our users to us upper case in their 
queries.
Am I overlooking something?
