Michael thanks for the prompt reply, I've had a look at the POP3 attributes and it was set to 128, whereas all the other boxes had *NOMAX so I changed the value and tried again (server restart not necessary) and I'm still getting the same problem. It seems that any text associated with the 'LONGMSG' keyword is not getting through. Thanks for the comment about the archive, I am looking as we speak but it's very slow.
