X-Analysis

Hello List Members:  Am doing an evaluation of X-Analysis for a client. I
have the IBM Redbook and a demo version which will allow me to see what it
can in the way of documenting the clients legacy applications. This client
has over 14,000 pgm objects with little or no documentation so this should
be an interesting evaluation and I certainly would appreciate comments and
feedback from any list members that might be running X-Analysis in their
shops or if they have gone through their own evaluation.

 

To date evidence shows that the application is high priced but has some very
interesting functions. The Program Flow Chart function seems to be on the
light side but I have not really investigated it in depth nor have I checked
out what automated interfaces to Visio exist and how well they work.

 

Your experiences and comments would be appreciated and when I complete my
task I will be sure to post the results.
