Yep *NOMAX or you could calculate how many records to fill the DASD 
99.9% and set it to that.

Hmmm... it seems to me that virtual memory pages back and forth 
between main memory and DASD.

Shouldn't it be possible to allocate/initialize memory blocks and 
somehow accomplish similar? Just an off-the-wall thought...
