If you use SQL as the type the editor will colorize the source which makes reading it real nice. Unfortunately, there is no option to verify the statement and F4 doesn't do anything either. That leaves me with RUNSQLSTMT until I get it right. Right click does display an option to use visual explain on the statement but I usually work with create statements so I haven't tried it yet.
