I recall an announcement from IBM a while back that the interactive CPW
requirement for Webfacing was dropped, and that IBM was promoting Webfacing for
machines with zero interactive CPW.

AFAIK DDS is still required to generate the Websphere artifacts. I'm not sure
where that leaves support for UIM menus.

The biggest problem with Webfaced applications seems to be the high CPU and
bandwidth demands in comparison with their 5250 counterparts. The UI may be
prettier, but less productive, while features are essentially the same as their
5250 counterparts.

Subject: WebFacing and interactive cycles

I seen to recall that there were some changes to when WebFacing
counted as interactive cycles. How does in fair now on a zero
interactive machine and will it convert user created UIM menus? Was
there a change at a particular release level of the OS?

Thanks
