Who do we write to to voice our displeasure?
President Bush? Sam Palmisano? Dear Abbey? Hey, if I had 2400 S/36 environments hanging around I would try to replace them too. It seems like the RFI is looking at _how_ best to replace them. The article indicates they will even consider hosting them on a few consolidated System i servers. So if you think you have a plan on how to extend the life of this application into the future, here is your chance to make the really, really big bucks and submit a proposal. Though I have to admit, I'm skeptical. As many (including IBM) predicted years ago, the problem isn't the hardware, it's the old creaky software that is dooming these 2400 AS/400's. jte
