We usually create a set of files with 4 or 5 characters of the name the same, and append either a sequential number, or the job number of the job that creates the file.
When it's processing time, we search the library for files with the proper name (and make a list of them); we then process them in sequence.
If you need a single data set, you could copy the multiple smaller files into a combined file for processing, then delete the contributing files (or move them to a "delete these" library pending verification of the process).
