Dave,

You see the command box at the bottom of the WDSCi Indent View tab? Enter

set font "Courier New-8"

to change to a smaller font. You can name the font you actually want. For
more information, enter ?font in the lpex editor command line (won't work from
the indent view)...

Additonally, to print the indent view, simply type print in the indent view
command line.

hth,
Eric

Actually, I indent my own /FREE as I program. I can "fix" the program I
have, and it would probably leave /FREE code alone, and just indent
non-free code.

The other thing the old program does is an analysis of indicators, and
subroutines. I know that is in WDSC, but I'm the only one (for now at
least) that uses this. The listing needs to be fixed for the rest...

The other issue I have about WDSC's indented listing - other than what
you mentioned, is the font size. I'll bet it can be made smaller, but
all it took was one listing to send me back to the old program...

Another issue: Yeah, I know, I like paper...

You're looking for something that takes this:
      /free
       for x = 1 to 5;
       if %error;
       Select;
       when badmsg='crud';
       //panic
       when badmsg='shucks';
       // more panic
       other;
       // just totally freak out
       EndSl;
       EndIf;
       EndFor;
      /end-free
and converts it to:

      /free
                         for x = 1 to 5;
                         | if %error;
                         | | Select;
                         | | when badmsg='crud';
                         | | | //panic
                         | | when badmsg='shucks';
                         | | | // more panic
                         | | other;
                         | | | // just totally freak out
                         | | EndSl;
                         | EndIf;
                         EndFor;
      /end-free
Sort of like the "Source, Show Indentation" part of the lpex editor in
WDSC?
Only, I bet, you don't want the vertical bars, and quite so much
indentation in between the /free and the for?

RPG (indented) listing...

I have been tasked with fixing our RPG indented listing. Before I "fix"
it, I would like to find out if anyone has programming that analyzes RPG
- AND includes /FREE and /SQL, etc. One of those: "Why re-invent the
wheel" kind of things.

What I've seen in my search so far is basically indenters for fixed
column RPG.

TIA

Dave
