Thanks Luis...sure enough, all the names are there. Can anyone think of a reason why this wouldn't be a good idea, assuming the number of entries isn't too large? I guess the biggest reason would be that IBM's API for directory searching would insulate me from any changes to the underlying file, right? Michael, You can find that info on the QUSRSYS/QATMSMTPA file. You can match the desired User ID against the file's USERID field and get the address with a CL statement like this one: chgvar &emailaddr (&smtpuid *tcat '@' *tcat &domroute) Hope this helps.
