I am coming over the internet. The address used to connect is something like 63.98.211.154. Our ISeries IP address is like the 192. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Payne Sent: Thursday, December 21, 2006 3:23 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: new MochaSoft connection Are you coming in through a VPN or directly over the internet? Is the address you use to connect something like 192.168.1.1? If I had to guess where the problem is I would say it is something involving NAT. Tell us more about your setup. I can use a dummy ID address and connect to the system from home and at work, but I can only use the machine IP address to connect at work. If I try to connect with the machine address at home I get a can not connect to AS/400 message. I am using DSL and the other programmer is using a cable connection.
