Paul,

So, the NetServer name is ISERIES and not QISERIES ?

In CFGTCP #12 does it have HOSTSCHPTY(*LOCAL) so it isn't getting the IP
address from a DNS server?

Subject: Netserver problem

Hi All,

I am having a Netserver problem.

I took advantage of the holiday and re-ipled my system and now Netserver
will not re-start. I get the following.

Message . . . . : iSeries Support for Windows Network Neighborhood
(iSeries

  NetServer) was unable to start.

Cause . . . . . : The required iSeries NetServer job QZLSSERVER was unable

to start because of reason code 13. See the following reason codes and

  their meanings:

13 - The retrieved host IP address of ww.xx.yy.zz is invalid.

Recovery

13 - Correct the name configured for iSeries NetServer which conflicts

with an existing name on the network, and try the request again.

The retrieved Host IP address of ww.xx.yy.zz is actually my external IP
address as opposed to the internal IP address of 192.168.1.5.

My host configuration table on the iSeries has this in it

    127.0.0.1 LOOPBACK

                     LOCALHOST

    192.168.1.5 ISERIES

                     ISERIES.COMCONLAN.COM

                     ISERIES.COMCON.COM

And iSERIES is the name I am using in Netserver.

Changing the name in Netserver does not make any difference.

Any thoughts on where I should look?

Regards

Paul Tuohy
