What's your server's LAN utilization look like? Look at the iNav LAN utilization monitor for both servers and see if it's high or low. Click on the Ethernet line for properties on the device. Forth line down will give you the line speed. 1000000000 would be Gig Ethernet. Another option is a TCP trace. Not very pretty though. Otherwise you might need a network analyzer to get a better look at the FTP speeds. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, December 22, 2006 10:01 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: Old-timer's disease question That's what I'm looking at. Time to get out the calculator. This box has a GB card, but I don't know if the network is configured for gigabyte traffic. Plus, I'm flying solo here today. I'm on cd number 6 of the 7 disk set of cume's for 5.4 The time stamps on the previous images show right around 2 hours per cd. I'm downloading from a machine that's on a really fast pipe. I don't know how fast the pipe on this end might be.
