Does anyone use savrstobj anymore (to move files across systems)?
All the time. I have two TCP/IP networks. One system in one network is running HTTP but I never start any of the other TCP servers, even temporarily, so I use APPC and SAVRSTLIB, SAVRSTOBJ, and SAVRST to transfer stuff. All outgoing TCP and APPC commands are secured on this system so although TCP is running it is locked down. Without SAVRSTxxx I'd have to use my own code (via SNADS or C-PIC or the FTS API QY2FTML).
