Wayne - Took your advice - works great! Thanks for your help! Steve "Wayne McAlpine" <wayne.mcalpine@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:mailman.3833.1166628602.1743.midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You would need to run a request processing program on the target subsystem in order to execute the command. It might be simpler to add a routing entry to QCTL and then specify that compare value on the TFRJOB command. Steve McKay wrote:I'm attempting to CALL a program from a TFRJOB command. It appears that this can be done by using the RQSDTA parm but, apparently, I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do it. Scenario: Operator is at remote location and is signed into QINTER subsystem. I want to give him/her a menu option that will TFRJOB to QCTL and run a CL program to shutdown QINTER subsystem. I'm open to suggestions for other ways to accomplish this. TIA, Steve
