There is of course the story famously one-eyed Peter Faulk told on
Johnny Carson years ago.

It's his first night on board his ship in the Navy, and it's time for
he and his new bunk mate to turn in. Faulk first takes out a dental
bridge with a few false teeth he'd lost and sets it on his locker.
Then he takes out his eye and set's it down. He then sits down on the
bunk and starts to unscrew his leg.

his bunk mate spent the night on deck.

I used to take mine out when I was in grammar school (usually while
standing in the cafeteria line) to gross out the girls; of course, the
guys thought it was cool, and adults have absolutely no sense of humor
about those kind of things.

In my declining/reclining years I just keep a couple of spares for the
younger nephews and nieces to marvel at: "How does it work, Uncle
Jerry?"
