First rule of the One Percent Club: NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THE ONE PERCENT CLUB! -- Justin C. Haase - Solution Engineer IBM Certified Systems Expert - System i Kingland Systems Corporation -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Trevor Perry Sent: Monday, December 18, 2006 10:07 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: The One Percent Club Jerry, I am trying to decipher the impact of the One Percent Club right now. This is MOST definitely one of the reasons that System i should be in demand for business. The quandary is this - from a business perspective, if you ARE in the One Percent Club, why would you ever tell anyone? Since it is a business secret that gives you a competitive edge, why would you advertise that you belonged to the One Percent Club? So, the One Percent Club is truly a secret organization. My plan is to determine how to publicize it, without impacting the "members". How do we make it the Club to which everyone WANTS to belong? Great read on Dr. Frank's view of things (at the moment). As for promoting of the i campaign, how about we start by calling ourselves the The One Percent Club (Angus??). (Even though we may not
all
be there yet, it is definately a worthy goal for us to pursue.) It's a great way to promote our platform in simple terms that even those in business 101 can understand. http://www.itjungle.com/tfh/tfh121806-story01.html Regards, Jerry Gerald Kern - MIS Project Leader Lotus Notes/Domino Administrator IBM Certified RPG IV Developer The Toledo Clinic, Inc. 4235 Secor Road Toledo, OH 43623-4299 Phone 419-479-5535 gkern@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This e-mail message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of
