Have set up a Tally T6212 as a rmtoutq with a Jet Direct, but the lack of operator control is unacceptable. Right now the Tally printer only has parallel cable. Tally's website has 2 ethernet controller options. I know I-O makes a print server box. Looking for a well tested reliable solution. Need to get back forms alignment and other controls for check printing, etc. Any suggestions for a proven solution would be appreciated. Need to get an answer quick. tia Jim Franz --
This may be a naive question: Why not use CRTDEVPRT? Device is 3812. Set forms to *AUTOCUT.Obviously, the device type does not match, even remotely, the actual printer. But, there are other parameters that have, in my limited experience, made a
functional device. Maybe some printers can't be driven this way? John McKee
