CPYTOSTMF has bitten me in the past, so I'd rather not go the .csv route.

I could of course use my own CPYPF2XLS utility, which generates a real XLS 
in the IFS, but for large files (over 1000 records) it takes forever...

I still have Excel on my work pc, so it's not so much a question of "need 
to be able to", as it is of "I wonder if it can be done".

Hi Peter,

                 What's wrong with cpytoimpf to a .csv file and open with 
open
office?  Have I missed a salient point?  I don't particularly like the
cpyto/frm stuff and use my own rpg for production stuff but for one-offs I
often use them...
