Re: System name vs. Host name

Brian,
My experience is that "local control point name" and "default local
location"  are normally used in SNA network configuration, such as
APPN/APPC configuration while "system name" is more likely used in
application level, such as SNADS and Office/400 etc. But all of them are
different from the TCP/IP Host Name...

Is there any relationship between the System Name, Local Control Point
Name,
and Default Local Location shown using DSPNETA and the TCP/IP Host Name
shown using CFGTCP option 12? We have always set these to be the same but
now have a need for them to be different.
