it is the power of the microprocessor. MSFT embraces it, IBM, at least in the i5 neck of the woods, gears down the CPU into marketing sectors. Vista and .NET 2.0 is great stuff, but it would not be able to run and bring in $billions in profits on geared down, overpriced hardware. -Steve
