Hi all,

I upgraded from V5R2 to V5R4 over Thanksgiving, and since then, any
terminals with shared user-IDs has been CRAWLING when launching a new menu
option. We use common IDs in various departments (my stockroom, for
example), where there are 10 terminals scattered through the area. All the
users have the same options, so to make it simpler, they all use the same
user-ID.

This never caused me a problem prior to this, but since I upgraded to V5R4,
it takes over a minute to launch a menu option. If I take the same
terminal, sign it on with a unique user-ID, it launches the same program in
subsecond time.

Any ideas? Except for creating a ton of new user-IDs? These are a
combination of old twin-ax terminals and Ethernet thin clients.
