Joel, We are doing a very similar thing but from a VSE/ESA mainframe system. Using the remote execution client in the VSE system, I can issue just about any command to the iSeries that I could do locally from a command line in a "green screen". You can do the same thing from Windows. If I understand what you want to do, you should have everything you need already. Windows provides a REXEC client. I think that would be CHGRXCA AUTOSTART(*YES). HTH
