Never mind (for now) of course the sw vendor is saying install latest cume (which for V5R4 I THOUGHT I had but did see this weekend that the latest cume which IIRC was scheduled for 11/20 actually came out 11/06, being d/l thru fix central now (though with our network speed it may or may not co mplete so ordering also via the good old green screen)...... Besides some "tech" issues on the actual install (more on that later) we
have 1 outstanding issue. We have vendor software that is no longer
populating a field in a file that it used on the AS/400 for session tracking
( i.e. I guess a cookie). This is a 128 byte field that has a PF
constraint to be a unique key. I journalled that file and find the program
the vendor calls that is updating/inserting into this session file and this
128 byte unique key is blanks so it fails on dupl;icae key and since this
session key is not the same on that persons brwser session and the "blanks"
basically users cannot log in.
The vendor is looking at it but...
Quick Question for the list, the vendor program in question does a CALL to
QHTTPSVR/DB2WWW (yes it IS hardcoded to that library). In looking on our
box:
to me it looks like the V5R4 version is in QSYSCGI not QHTTPSVR? and that
"might" be the issue
