Aaron,

I just installed two new 520s with thin consoles. I plugged them in and turned them on. Not too difficult.

The most difficult part was setting the IP and system name parameters to suit the customer requirements.

Ease-of-use = 10 out of 10. And I am not a sysadmin, either.

Subject: System i5 first boot

I am still trying to get my brand new System i5 to boot for the first time.
Is there a way for me to find what IP address it has assigned itself?
Through the random pushing of buttons on the control panel display I found
it once, but that was a couple of boot attempts ago and I am trying to
figure out how to get back into there.

p.s. Initial setup of a System i5 is turning out to be a real drag. Granted
I am a programmer trying to do it and not a sysadmin, but if IBM is trying
to get new sales out there to non-IBM shops then they are currently failing
on my scale of ease-of-use.

Thanks,
Aaron Bartell
