Aaron..where are you in the process? Have you already signed on as QSECOFR
to a green screen session, or is this before that point? You're talking
about the control panel which leads me to think you haven't established a
console session yet.

System i5 first boot






I am still trying to get my brand new System i5 to boot for the first
time.
Is there a way for me to find what IP address it has assigned itself?
Through the random pushing of buttons on the control panel display I found
it once, but that was a couple of boot attempts ago and I am trying to
figure out how to get back into there.

p.s. Initial setup of a System i5 is turning out to be a real drag.
Granted
I am a programmer trying to do it and not a sysadmin, but if IBM is trying
to get new sales out there to non-IBM shops then they are currently
failing
on my scale of ease-of-use.
