RE: Storing Guids in DB2/400

...have you thought of using a SEQUENCE?


Actually this is a Guid coming from external systems (both Java and .NET
Guids will be involved here) and they're being used as foreign keys. I'm
thinking the right type is a char(16) for bit data, but then I need to
do the translation from the Guid to the byte array myself. Char(36) lets
me just store the guid, but there's no checking that it's a valid guid.
