Re: HP 3500 Color printer

   Yup. According to the HP web site, the 3500 does not support PCL. It also
   no longer sold by HP.
    
   The buyer shoulda bewared.

     Probably one of the "dumb" printers.  Check the HP site.  A LOT of HP's
     now are host-based - they rely on Windows or MAC or whatever to generate
     the page.  Talking to any other host (400, mainframe, UNIX) isn't
     possible.  You have to buy one of the few remaining HP's with a brain to
     process the PCL.   I got burned on that once - knew the price was too
     good to be true for a color printer.
