Are you currently going to your LUG meetings?
Sometimes - though the COiN (Central Ontario iSeries Network) meetings conflict with my KWLUG (Kitchener-Waterloo Linux Users Group) meetings, so I usually go to whichever is most interesting. TUG (Toronto Users Group) is too far for me to justify going - I like my sleep too much!
Would you go to your LUG meetings, more or less likely, if your major presenter was a TV screen?
I'd be more likely to go if the presentations were of a higher calibre / more relevant to developers.
Would the next step be, why travel at all? Why not just have a webcast
at
home or work? Or do you still like a little personal interaction?
I don't really see the networking as a major benefit, but can be nice sometimes. Since travel distance to Kitchener for COiN meetings is not too far, I'd likely go anyway. ##################################################################################### Attention: The above message and/or attachment(s) is private and confidential and is intended only for the people for which it is addressed.
