I was just notified last week that our last remaining Arizona AS/400/iSeries/i5 user group is shutting down. The web site will be left up to list jobs until the web hosting payment comes due and then the site will be shut down. I've recommended the group, as they work on a sort-of DB2, should combine with the local Southwest Area Relational Users Group as they are a much more robust group and the vendor presenters pay the freight. As you can see DB2 on the mainframe and ORACLE on multiple platforms are thriving. But, of course, the i5ers didn't like that idea. Much as I hate admit it, I'm afraid the i5 is doomed to be replaced by MickySoft Wintel boxes, Linux boxes or perhaps some Unix flavor as they are WELL KNOWN and popular. Wow, again, I'm attached to a losing OS; first VM, then OS/2 now i5/OS. Dulcinea, Dulcinea (for all you Man of La Mancha fans). Take care, Dave
