I'd turn the thing off every day and keep having Service Directory transmit the
calls to IBM (or force them to be transmitted by Preparing & Sending them if
they don't go automatically). Eventually support will get tired of receiving
them and put pressure on the guilty party to fix it. :-)

Subject: RE: Comments on Thin Consoles

The HMC does not have this limit, you can disable the heartbeat the system
sends to the HMC. Can't do that with the Thin Console.

The PMR (33810,212,848) i had open on this issue was actually kinda funny. The
first thing the technician which called me back asked was wether i looked at
the settings of the thin console (which it doesn't really have, at least for
all the IBM stuff).

Here's the PMR for those of you who run into the same issue:
http://projectdream.org/~lb/PMR-ThinConsole.htm.

I'm thinking about submitting a design request, but i doubt this will help.
