Does it go to 02:00:00 before changing back to 01:00:00 ? If so hat may be enough to kick off a job scheduled for 02:00:00 To be sure I never schedule anything on a Sunday for 02:00:00 Use 02:00:01 or 02:01:00. If time moves ahead an hour from 02:00:00 to 03:00:00 it will run as soon as the time changes. If time moves back an hour there's only one 02:00:01 or 02:01:00 And even if you had something scheduled for 01:30:00 it wouldn't run twice when time jumps back because first execution will set the "Next Scheduled Date" for a day/week/month in the future. If so, So what happens when the ipl scheduled at 2:00am? I am assuming it's like this: 01:59:56 01:59:57 01:59:58 01:59:59 01:00:00 (system sets time back 1 hour) 01:00:01 59 minutes later 01:59:58 01:59:59 02:00:00 and job scheduler starts job to pwrdwnsys *restart *yes ipl jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Grizzly Malchow" <grizzlym@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, October 27, 2006 3:58 PM Subject: RE: Unattended IPL not running
Thanks Rob, The value in QSTRUPPGM is QSYS/QSTRUP. I only see one QSTRUP program on our system and it is in the library QSYS so I'd have to imagine that's the only QSTRUP program available to be pointed at. I did notice find that the keylock switch was in the auto position and QSYSSCD wasn't running. I turned the keylock switch to secure and I started QSYSSCD. Everything else appears to be ok in regards to the dates and times. I scheduled the next IPL to run at 2 AM this coming Sunday morning. Hopefully it works. If not I plan on running it manually. Thanks, Griz
