One speaker who always goes to RSA (InfoSec conference that's always in SF/San Jose) wrote a restaurant review guide for attendees. John A. I believe it would be easier on the speakers to go back to the same
place every year too. Nah - it gets boring <grin> There's no real advantage from a speaker's perspective. On the down side anyone who doesn't like/can't drive to/can't afford/etc. a specific location would never go to COMMON. Remember there's only going to be one main COMMON conference a year from now on. The fall conference will be a smaller "workshop/seminar only" type of event. Besides - I really dislike Miami. Horrible airport, ultra sweaty climate, and in the Spring expensive. The hotels were (relatively) cheap because COMMON was there in hurricane season. Just as a check I just went on-line to Loews reservation system and they are quoting $399 as the _lowest_ price for April 15th - 20th. Don't think that would be a huge hit with attendees.
