After I created the procedure, I still didn't know how to call it with the parameters, so I looked at the SQL programmers guide again and saw the (parm1, parm2) usage, without the PARM keyword, and using commas to separate parameter values. So, I tried it just like your example, with the zero-filled length value, and it works just fine. Thanks, Dan
