you'd end up re-creating the folder structure and then going in there and doing exactly what you said. then you delete the folder structure you created. that did the trick. you'd think if if you delete a folder in the IFS that's shared that it would zap the share name also.....but that's just me thinking crazy apparently. but I'm certainly not looking to start a whole discussion about that :) Jim Norbut Systems Administrator Grubb & Ellis Company 500 West Monroe Chicago, IL 60661 (312) 698-5620 -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of lgoodbar@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, October 23, 2006 9:42 AM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Ops Navigator question You can remove shares through OpsNav, but it's counter-intuitive. You don't remove shares in the File Systems/File Shares area (where you think you should). Instead, you need to go into File Systems/Integrated File System. Navigate (in the left side), to the folder that's shared. Shared folders have a blue hand just like Windows. Right click on the folder, then Sharing, Stop sharing. Not sure what you'd do if the actual IFS folder doesn't exist though.
