Hi Albert, We had this problem too, but i wasn't able to find a solution. I even posted a question to this very list. As far as I can tell, the i5 wasn't designed anything except locally attached UPSs in mind. It's the service processor that talks with the UPS, not i5/OS. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Albert York Sent: Friday, October 20, 2006 7:20 PM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: UPS with SNMP I have been asked if the AS/400 can respond to notifications from a UPS which uses SNMP. I don't have any experience with SNMP. Can anyone tell me how I would set this up? Thanks. Albert York
