This used to happen to us when our iSeries delivered email directly to the remote email servers. Some of these remote servers rejected our connection attempts because they suspected we were a spammer. This was because our main domain of OURDOMAIN.COM was publicly registered but our iSeries domain of SERIAL#.OURDOMAIN.COM was not. The problem was solved when we re-configured the iSeries SMTP server to route all email through our main email server. ----- Original Message ----- From: DeWitt, Rick To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2006 11:36 AM Subject: SMTP error?
