I don't see our company using .NET. Why then would I? - To see if company maybe needs to look at it? I'm not timid. If I feel that way about a product I'll approach the chain. - To know the devil and argue intelligently against it? No thanks, I don't hang out at satanic cult meetings either. Also, it's hard for me to concentrate when I am not enthused. - To pad my resume'? Gain a little knowledge for side work? Actually had a head hunter call me just this week on a .net position. Some local company going that way with their i. I'm pretty happy here and don't see any changes coming. Training for a MS product for something a few years out can be a waste of time, with the technology constantly changing and all. But COMMON may be different. Bigger spread of people. Just like our LUG didn't have enough people in the "system level" to care about the topics Al Barsa presents to justify paying his expenses, but COMMON has a larger spread and he packs them in there.
