Private authorities are not stored with the object they are stored with the user profile. RSTAUT should be run after restoring one or more user profiles.

Michael,

You might want to check out the RSTAUT command.

Glenn

I have a done a SAVLIB on a production machine. Most of the files are

secured as follows:
*PUBLIC *CHANGE X X X X X
X
*GROUP QSECOFR *ALL X X X X X X X X
X
X
ORCOM *ALL X X X X X X
X
Owned by QSECOFR.

I am restoring this library to another machine. The library does not exist on the new machine.

The user profile ORCOM does exist on both machines. ORCOM is a Group Profile.

When I RSTLIB to the new machine my authority on the files looks like this
*PUBLIC *CHANGE X X X X X
X
*GROUP QSECOFR *ALL X X X X X X X X
X
X

Am I missing something on the Save or Restore that would prevent this authority from being restored?

I don't remember ever having this issue before.

The authority is not restored to ORCOM.
