Chris, No firewall AFAIK, I'll double check that. We don't see anything listening on 631. I'm wondering if Windows uses some other port? When we use the web browser to goto http://mywinserver/printers/p2s-as400/.printer The page comes up which seems to indicate that IPP is enabled for the printer. Unfortunately, MS documentation assumes you're be printing from a Windows client. It doesn't tell you what you need to know to print from some other client. Have you checked the W2K3 server for an open listening port at 631? IIS as been installed and Internet Print Protocol (IPP) enabled. IPP is set to allow anonymous access. I've tried setting up an IPP device description on the 400 to print to this printer using the following remote location: http://mywinserver/printers/p2s-as400/.printer But it doesn't seem to want to work. Note in the DEVD, the port is specified as 631. I've also tried http://mywinserver:631/printers/p2s-as400/.printer http://mywinserver/printers/p2s-as400 http://mywinserver:631/printers/p2s-as400 None of which seem to work, I keep getting a CPD337F - Remote device rejected an attempt by the writer to open a connection.
