I prompted STRLOGSVR. I don't think we have any usage of that api (QMHCTLJL, Control job log API). We changed the system value QLOGOUTPUT to *PND to not automatically print them. We were tired of the users deleting important joblogs. So they just stayed associated with the job. In other words, even after the job ends you can do an option 10 to look at the joblog. It will not show up in the 4-spool file option. Of course some programmer here thought that was too useful to analyze problems so he created a program to use another api to blast this joblog also. Wrapped it in a command and told all the users about it. "Seek never to understand - only to be understood." I guess it makes it easier for the users to do a WRKUSRJOB. Frankly, I'd just as soon they didn't use that command.Do I still need STRLOGSVR? Rob Berendt
Not sure, where did you see the error message?
