Repeat after me: "CD's suck". If you have the disk space I strongly recommend using Virtual Image. You really don't have these timing issues. It's a PITA to train someone to "watch the flashing lights, wait until they stop, they slowly count to 15 or until you get this one last flash. Then you're ready. Often you can verify it by DSPMSG QSYSOPR and seeing the volume id mounted message. Or you can verify it by WRKLNK '/QOPT'." Which these verify steps are probably a hoot when trying to look at the "I" cd during the boot from step. Rob Berendt
