That's a thought. I'm hoping there's a way that doesn't involve that much overhead though.
Another good reason to use a service program that lets you handle the FTP responses during the FTP session instead of afterward :)
<clip> How about creating a library 'on the fly' with the User's UserID as the name? Change your Current Library to that library, and when the job is complete, change your Current library back to *CRTDFT and delete the library. <clip>
Don't know how it would compare in performance, but another idea that came to mind is to create one file with a new member, named based on the job name, in the same file for each job using the command if you go the CL route.
