Yes definitely check QSYSOPR, check your joblog as well (SYSREQ option 3)

As I recall (I haven't done a SAVE 21 to an SLR100 since, um, 20 minutes ago...) The green LED blinks rapidly while data is moving to the tape. All lights are out when the drive isn't in use.

any messages on the qsysopr message queue? You can sys-req 6 to
display the queue.
