We at RJS Software have a product called InfoPrint Integrator that is intended
to take care of just what you have run into. If interested, of course, give a
holler to us at www.rjssoftware.com or 888.rjs.soft

Of course, rolling your own is a great exercise, right?

Shannon,
I am using the IBM Infoprint Services product.
It does support AFPDS to PDF stream file conversion with no problem.
However, by default, the PDF file name it creates is not meaningful, so I
have
written a PDF Map program (User Exit Progam) according to the specs in the
BIM
Infoprint Services Users Guide to specify a more meaningful name.
I am getting an error from the PDF conversion routine.

Thanks,

Jeff Young

Hello Jeff,

At this time, AFPDS files are not supported. What company are you with? I can
let you know when we begin supporting those types of files.

Thanks,

Shannon O'Donnell

Subject: Help with PDF Map Program
I am using PSF/400 to create a PDF file from an AFPDS spool file.
I have created a PDF Mapping Program so that I can specify the name of the
PDF file dynamicaly.
When I attempt to convert the file, I get an error:

Message ID . . . . . . : PQT4140
Date sent . . . . . . : 08/25/06 Time sent . . . . . . :
13:53:40

Message . . . . : Incorrect data was returned by email mapping program
(QGPL/PDF_MAP).

Cause . . . . . : The email mapping program specified for device
PDF_PRINT
returned incorrect data. The reason code is 04. See the reason codes
listed below to determine where the error was detected.
1 -- Disposition of PDF file
2 -- Re-calling mapping program
3 -- Reserved field
4 -- Message length or message data
5 -- Email address or email address length

I have examined the output from the PSFTRACE spool file that shows the data
in error.
The value for the Email Address Length is 0.
This value is defined as a 10 position Integer field in the program and the
value is x'00000000'
