Select @street1 as Address1, @street2 as Address2,... you are talking about column headings I assume. jim----- Original Message ----- From: "Ryan Hunt" <ryan.hunt@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

How do you assign multiple variables at the same time on an AS400? I've looked through the SQL reference for V5R2 and I'm not seeing what I need. I am getting syntax errors on: SELECT @STREET1=ADDRESS1, @STREET2=ADDRESS2, @CITY=CITY, @STATE=STATE, @ZIP=ZIP, @ADDRESSNAME=ADDRESSNAME, @ADDRESSTYPE=ADDRESSTYPE , @TENANTID=TENANTID, @LEASEID=LEASEID, @PHONENUMBER=PHONENUMBER, @FAXNUMBER=FAXNUMBER, @FIRSTNAME=FIRSTNAME, @MIDDLENAME=MIDDLENAME , @LASTNAME=LASTNAME, @NICKNAME=NICKNAME, @SURNAME=SURNAME, @SUFFIXNAME=SUFFIXNAME, @HIWCONTACTTYPE=CONTACTTYPE FROM DEVDTA.CONTACTIMPORT WHERE ID=@COUNTER; Thanks in advance. --This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing listTo post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
