Then if you look via dspneta you should see "pending system name" = your
new system name

Did that, but didn't do an IPL, just closed down.

Maybe this is the missing point. Will hopefully see the 'light'

Got an used model 270 (v.5.1) from a client and want to change the
system name.
Only done that once, many years ago (without taking notes).

Which command am I missing ??

Looked into Go TCPADM (the box are up and running in my LAN) and
WRKSYSVAL. 
Searched Goole, Midrange.com and IBM.com to no avail.

A quick help - please :-)
