I found another client with one of the defective PTF's, only this one has
MF39123 permanently installed. The documentation says I need to slip the
LIC and start over with the PTF's. Here is the reason the PTF is
   defective:

REASON DEFECTIVE: The Work with disk unit screens
                                        under Dedicated Service Tool (DST)

and System Service Tool (SST) are in

                                        English, not the installed National

                                        Language Version (NLV).

Under some conditions, the Work with

                                        disk unit screens become unusable

                                        for all languages.
My question is that since this box is in the US, why should I care about
the NLV? Anybody from IBM want to chime in? I really don't have time to
   call the support line.

The defective PTF document is SF98088 at:

     http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/sline003.nsf/2d3aff1c6b4d6ce086256453000d97

The bad Cume was actually C6101530. FWIW I installed C6142530 the
"normal" way on both of our boxes and those defectives were not applied
     or even marked as superceded.

Does anybody still have the link to those defective PTF's that need
     to be
removed prior to putting on cumulative PTF C6142530?

The cover letter on this CD says nothing about removing anything
       Thanks
