On the TSM list hosted at marist.edu I asked for a Tivoli Storage Manager rep to speak for TSM at our LUG. IBM offered a speaker. They've already sent me a nice box of give-a-ways for the meeting - Very cool stuff. They asked me some questions about the group. I told them our focus and ancillary interests. This question from the IBMer has me a little concerned: "Hey rob. I hate to sound stupid, but what is i5?" Once again, that is what happens when you take the director of marketing for the iSeries and place them in charge of marketing for TSM. I asked on that list for suggested TSM conferences. A few suggestions were made. But 1 of the top two that got the most rave reviews was the SHARE conference. Which, to my last belief, was the mainframes version of COMMON. Maybe TSM would have fared better on our box if we could have encourage a presence at COMMON. Rob Berendt
