I am trying to create a tab delimited file and then use CPYTOSTMF to copy it
to our IFS.

First, I use the following command to create the file I am going to populate
with tab delimited strings.

CRTPF FILE(DATALIBR/DPAPHTAB) RCDLEN(4400) +
             TEXT('Harris On-line Tab Delimited Update +
             File') SIZE(5000 1000) ALLOCATE(*YES)

In RPG ILE, I populate a 4400 character alpha string with character fields
seperated by tabs(x'09'). I then output these strings to the file I just
created.

Then I use the following command to copy the file to our IFS:

CPYTOSTMF FROMMBR('/qsys.lib/datalibr.lib/dpaphtab.file/dpaphtab.mbr') +

                                 TOSTMF('/mis/dpaphtab.txt')
STMFOPT(*REPLACE) CVTDTA(*TBL) +
                                 TBL('/qsys.lib/qascii.tbl')

When I look at the file on the ifs, the tabs have been stripped out. Any
ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

NOTE: I cant use CPYTOIMPF because I do not know what fields will be in the
file ahead of time.

Thanks.
